Rob Muhlestein and Julie LaChance are living proof social media works. A Russian major and French lab instructor in college, Rob randomly found and followed Julie on Twitter interested in learning about technology in education. When Julie called for local volunteers to assist with Second Life skills training Rob responded, showing a true example of 21st century networking. They soon discovered that Julie’s award-winning technology facilitation in education, creative thinking, and a personal network of educators complimented Rob's 20 years of corporate programming experience, his aptitude for applied technology, and his network of business and creative contacts. The two now enjoy assisting others and promoting the use of social media and Second Life to help bridge the gap between educator and business communities.
